As mothers day has come and gone the celebration of motherhood fades into the sunset. So I wanted to bring it back into the forefront. Mothering is a 24/7 365 day event with no breaks which deserves more than one day of recognition from others and even ourselves. We as original woman not only nursed, nurtured and cared for our own babies but those within our communities as well. This has been a major part of what has given us strength as a community and as a people. The time has come to stop reminiscing about back in the day when we had "big momma" (we all had one) who cared for us and what seemed like the whole neighborhood. The time has come for us to reconnect to the beauty in being a woman, a wife, and a mother. Our villages NEED US NOW!! They need us to be strong, regal, wise, loving, nurturing, supportive and divine!! So to all of the mothers, this is dedicated to you.
